Scope Definition

The scope definition involves undersatanding the target audience and understanding the functional scope.

Define the Target Audience

Who is the target audience? What are their roles? Who are the leaders? How are they impacted? Where do they fit in the heirarchy? How can they be grouped together? How many people are impacted?

Capturing and analysing the target audience impacts the number of learning pathways, and the methods used to roll out the solution. 

Define the Functional Scope

What is the functional scope? What tasks that need to be fulfilled as part of the initiative? These tasks need to be defined to a stage where they can be documented in an operating procedure, as step by step guide, or a video walkthrough. 

The product of the scope definition phase is a scope spreadsheet that maps each audience group to the functionality they need to understand to perform their role.
